Life of a Childless Couple According to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
In today’s society, many couples face the emotional challenge of being childless. Often, this situation leads to feelings of sadness, incompleteness, or even social pressure. However, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj offers a completely different and uplifting perspective on this issue, rooted in spiritual wisdom and divine knowledge.
Childlessness Is Not a Curse
According to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, being childless is not a curse or punishment. Instead, it can be a divine opportunity for a couple to focus on the real goal of human life — attaining salvation (moksha). In His spiritual discourses, He explains that children are often the result of past karmas, and once the karmic account is cleared, some souls no longer need to give birth or take birth.
True Purpose of Life
The real aim of life is not merely to raise a family but to realize God and attain a permanent place in Satlok — the eternal abode. Childless couples, free from many worldly responsibilities, can dedicate more time to spiritual practice, devotion (bhakti), and service. This makes their path to liberation even smoother.
Equal Respect and Value
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj emphasizes that society must not look down upon childless couples. In fact, if they walk on the path of true devotion by taking Naam Diksha (Initiation) from a Complete Guru, they are far more spiritually successful than those who are trapped in the cycle of births and deaths due to attachment to children and material life.
A Life of Peace and Fulfillment
Thousands of childless couples who follow Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj have found peace, purpose, and joy through Satbhakti. They engage in reading holy scriptures, attending spiritual discourses, and helping spread true spiritual knowledge. This gives them a fulfilling life, free from sorrow and full of divine bliss.
Conclusion
According to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, being childless is not a deficiency. It is a chance to live a blissful, spiritual, and meaningful life. By following the path shown by the True Guru, even a childless couple can become spiritually rich and achieve the highest goal — eternal liberation.
Q. Are there advantages to not having children?
From a spiritual standpoint, individuals without children are considered fortunate and spiritually advanced. Their potential path to salvation is thought to be more direct if they seek guidance from an enlightened Guru, commit to a life of devotion, and remain dedicated to their spiritual pursuits until the end of their lives. This level of commitment can lead to complete salvation in their current lifetime.
Those pious souls who do not have children, due to lack of spiri
tual knowledge, they have an intense desire to have children. They
make every possible effort for that. Still if they do not get anyone
(offspring) who has any transactions with them, then they bear the
grief of not having a child throughout their life. Especially, a woman
has an intense desire to have a child. She does not like herself to be
called barren. Even if after examination a doctor declares that
“You do not have any signs of infertility. It is a will of God.” But a
woman devoid of Tatvgyan dies with this desire only. Because of not
doing bhakti, her next birth is of a dog. Then the messengers of Yam
(death) say to her that – “Sister! Now reproduce offspring and make
up for all the loss. In one conception, you will reproduce eight off
spring. Then your next birth will be that of a pig. In one go, you will
reproduce twelve offspring, and will conceive seven-eight times. Fully
satiate your hunger of having offspring.
O pious souls, brothers and sisters! Understand spiritual knowl
edge. Make your human life successful. Tidy up (make it free from
obstacles) your way of living, that is, by taking initiation from a Com
plete Guru, do bhakti and get your welfare done.
